Summer Recap

As you can see by our lack of blogging, this summer has been busy. This will be a quick recap...mostly pics....enjoy.

We started swimming lessons, and our pumpkin is a future Olympian! (say "hi" to our friend Natalia in the background--she's a great swimmer too!)
We spent quite a few days playing with Kelli and Laela. The girls have fun now that they can get around on their own.We also spent time at our friend Natalia's birthday party in the spray park. Here's a pic of Maddie and Kheang running through the sprinklers.This was a water themed summer! Next we went on a trip to Galveston with lots of friends. Laela, Ian and Brady all spent time with us at the beach in Galveston. We had lots of fun. Here are Kheang and Madelynn spending some time on the beach.After Galveston, we spent a weekend with Granna and Granddad in Colorado. It was our first trip out of Texas. We had a nice trip and can't wait to go back!
Back at home, we've been working on our standing, pulling up, and walking. Here's Maddie at her musical table.

Another toy I picked up for her is her wobbley Penguin, but she doesn't like it very much. She gives him the evil eye everytime she sees it. After you watch the video, you'll understand why. Kheang was trying to show her that she's tougher than him, but I don't think she liked it!

We've now resorted to using him as scare tactics. We put it places she's not allowed to go. It has worked to keep her away from the fireplace.

All in all, it's been busy and as you can see we're worn out! Our sweet girl is growing every day in so many ways, we're having so much fun!
