Bing's New Bedding

Brooke and I were very excited today...we went and picked up Bing's bedding from our new friend Laura Parrish at Rocking Horse Designs. Brooke cried tears of joy the first time she saw the bedding. Laura told me it was the pregnancy hormones...I told her it was just Brooke! We're very happy with her beautiful work...take a look at these pics, but it looks even better in person!

BabyMooning!

I think Kheang and I have started to feel the pressure that our lives are about to encounter a drastic change. To adjust to this, we've decided to take a few quick vacations to enjoy our last few months of pre-family-hood. Our friends and family joined us for a weekend in Galveston. We had a great time and lots of laughs thanks to our guests.

Following Galveston, Kheang and I took a "last chance vacation" to the Bahamas on a cruise for a few days. Here we are enjoying the Atlantis Resort in Nassau!

We had some formal nights on the cruise where we got to dress up for dinner.

After we returned to the ship, I convinced Kheang we should play some BINGo. Bing must be bringing us luck -- we both won!

Our last day of the cruise ended in Miami where we met up with our friend Tim. Here we're riding in the Duck tour around the Bay.

Don't worry Bing...we'll be sure to take trips with you when you get here!!

Second Sono

Brooke and I went to see Dr. Lo today for our 19 week exam...this one was a biggie! We checked out all the important parts to make sure everything was progressing normally, and they assured us that everything looked good so far. We're really thankful to God for our little miracle. Here's a picture of our Bing in profile view.

If you can't tell what you're looking at don't feel bad. I wasn't sure at first either, but the doctors were great at explaining everything to us. I think it was more for my benefit than Brooke's, but that's ok. The good news is that everything's on track and normal and for that we're truly blessed!

Nursery Furniture

Brooke and I went to a million (more like 5 but it seemed like a million) baby boutiques and stores and finally decided on baby furniture. The very helpful sales lady advised us to go ahead and order the furniture because it could take up to 4 or 5 months before everything would be ready. One week later our furniture magically arrived. They really know how to close the deal! Needless to say Brooke had me go pick it up and it was installed pretty much that night too.

Our nursery is really starting to come together!

The Origin of Bing and Other Thoughts

Hi everyone...baby daddy here. I would first like to just clarify that we are not actually naming our child Bing. Our friend Paige suggested we call him/her "Bing" for Brooke and Kheang. Since we are not finding out the sex of our baby until December 6th (our due date), we thought that was perfect!

Brooke and I are very excited about the prospect of being first time parents. By excited I mean scared, nervous, and totally unprepared! We are very thankful for all the support of our family and friends...it's great to know that we're bringing our baby into a world so full of joy and love.
